WAIST MANAGEMENT:
It is amazing what a difference a belt can make. I am famous for always saying “Oh that looks great, you should belt it!” If you don’t own a belt, start with the basics: Brown, Black and a colored one like Red of Yellow (both great POP colors). Belts are great for those dresses or tops you own that are just so cute but not the most flattering. Solution: BELT IT! Belts draw your attention to the smallest part of your body and when worn right, can make all the difference.
Great belt ideas:

Beaming Links Belt

Buckled Cummerbund

Caning Double Belt

Grand Proportions Belt

Wearing tights with open toe shoes:
That’s right, now that tights and peep-toe shoes are both in style, women everywhere can happily break this rule. This allows for your shoe wardrobe to last year round.
You can never have enough tights. Hosiery is a great way to showcase you inner style and take a risk.
The best time to buy tights is on sale. You can usually find a vareity of tights on sale come spring. STOCK UP! Tights never go out of style and you will need them each year. They fall under the “neccessity” catagory, so it makes stocking up a little more “guilt-free”.
You should view your tights as an extra accessory and use them like it.
Poorly made tights are simply not worth the money. I swear by “HUE” tights. This brand is amazing, they hold up for at least 2 seasons and well worth the $12.50. Hue’s come in a large scheme of colors ranging from basic black to juicy red. Opaque tights should be thick and maintain their opacity when stretched.
Keep in mind your size when buying tights. Just because you are a size zero doesn’t mean you will be a size small in tights. It is best to go based off of height. You may need a size bigger than your waistline to cover the length of your legs. There is nothing worse than having tights that are too short for you and slide down all day. When in doubt always size up in tights.
Tight options:

Chevron Stack Tights

Calligrapher’s Tights

Sign Here Tights

Photolace Tights

Opaque Tights HUE

Long-Stem Tights ( MY FAVORITE!)
*All tights from Anthropologie and range from $12.50-$24.00

Today, CASUAL and FESTIVE.
What to Wear: When the invite says CASUAL
THE KEY: TO LOOK RELAXED, NOT SLOPPY.

Filed under Uncategorized | Comment (0)It’s an old wives tale, or some may consider it a fashion don’t, outfitting black and brown together. This rule is very dated. It is just not true at all! Black, brown, and navy are all considered neutrals in my book. This means that you can wear them with pretty much anything, including each other! Mixing black and brown is a great look for fall and winter.
Rihanna recently commented about this rule:
“The idea of not wearing brown and black together seems so dated. The other day I wore a black T-shirt, black Nobody jeans, a brown leopard-print belt by Dolce & Gabbana, and brown Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and it looked awesome. And I also love to mix prints.”- Rihanna
My take on black and brown mix up:

Solution: Choose classic pieces, make it appear effortless and keep it simple!
